Toms Diner Ledgewood NJ

We Aim to Restore this Iconic Landmark to all its Glory

Tom's Diner, circa 1930, was built in Paterson, NJ by the Silk City Dining Car Company. It is one of the oldest diners, not just in NJ, but the world. The Seretis family purchased this historic gem in 1958 and ran it proudly until 2nd generation owner, Frank Seretis, passed away in 2004. Now 3rd generation owner, Tom Seretis, plans to restore the family legacy and bring this unique and beloved destination eatery back into NJ lore.

Working as One for Good of Many.

"Tom's Diner is a landmark recognized not just in Roxbury, not just in New Jersey, but across the nation. Many NJ highway diners are disappearing and we are thrilled here in Roxbury that we still have one of the originals. This is truly one of the most recognized landmarks in the entire area. Everybody knows Tom's Diner." -Richard Cramond, Roxbury Historical Society.

"There is no doubt that Tom's Diner holds a special place in the history of Ledgewood and in the hearts of it's many friends and patrons over the years. With so much change going on in the world around us, it is important that we preserve elements of the past. Historic sites serve as a reminder of where we came from and of how the people who were here before us lived their lives and built our communities. The re-opening of Tom's Diner would accomplish that and more. It would not only remind so many of "days gone by", it would also provide a place where new generations of patrons could create their own memories and friendships. Please be certain that you have my very best wishes." -Congressman Rodney Frelinghuysen
